PROGRAMS, SERVICES AND SUPPORTS

AHRC offers a wide array of programs, services and supports in the community from which individuals and families may choose according to their specific needs:

 

For toddlers and children, services include:

  • Multidisciplinary Evaluations

  • Augmentative Communication Lab/ Evaluations

  • Speech-Language, Physical, and Occupational Therapy

  • Psychological Counseling

  • Multi-Sensory Environment

  • Art, Music and Adapted Physical Education

  • Day Care Preschool Program within an integrated class

  • Preschool and Early School Age Autism Program

  • Parent Support Group

 

For young adults and adults, services include:

 

Opportunities with varying degrees of structure and support, where adults can engage in activities that will enhance their skills of daily living, provide them with work experience in a supervised environment, assist them in finding competitive employment and provide them with the supports and assistance for community exploration that interests them.

 

  • Adult day habilitation programs

  • Senior citizen day habilitation programs

  • Prevocational services

  • Program Without Walls (PWW)

  • Supported employment

  • Residential opportunities in group homes

  • Residential and adult day programs for individuals diagnosed with dementia

 

For individuals preparing to graduate from high school, AHRC offers transitional services to school districts and caretakers.

 

For individuals of all ages, and their families, services include:

 

  • Nursing

  • Psychological counseling and mental health services

  • Recreational programs

  • Developmental evaluations

  • Service Coordination

  • Respite services to provide a break from the job of caretaking for families
