Job Placement / Supported Work

AHRC Suffolk’s Supported Work program provides community based employment opportunities for participants with on-site job coaching services. We connect our participants with local businesses in search of pre-screened, skilled and highly motivated employees. We have successfully placed our participants in a variety of employment settings, including maintenance, food service, assembly and packaging, shipping and receiving, grocery, retail and much more. In fact, many participating business owners and managers comment on the loyalty, reliability and low turnover rate of our participants.

The remarkable success of our Supported Work program is due in large part to the ongoing involvement of our experienced job coaches. These men and women remain in close contact with both the employer and our participant employee, and are always ready to help resolve any work-related issues. Should the nature of the job change, they help retrain the participant and prepare them to meet the new challenge.
