Volunteer your time!
We are always looking for volunteers to assist in bingo or
other fund-raising activities or to serve as Special Friends to
our clients who have little or no family. For up-to-date

Gifts in the form of cash or checks are the most common
forms of giving.

Matching Gifts
Many companies and foundations nationwide match employee
gifts to charitable organizations such as AHRC Suffolk. Please
check with your personnel office.

Memorials and Tributes
Gifts may be designated "in memory of" or "in honor of" a
loved one and can reflect the interest of the person being
honored.

Sponsorship
Gifts can be used to sponsor the naming of an AHRC home or
facility. The name of the sponsor or designated honoree will
be acknowledged on a plaque within the renovated space.
Memorial plaques are also available at the facility of your
choice. Engraved bricks for the walkway to AHRC's school,
The Saul and Elaine Seiff Center, can be ordered by calling the
Foundation Office at (631) 585-0100.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities
Make a gift of appreciated long-term security and receive a tax
deduction for the market value at the time of donation.

Life Insurance
By naming AHRC Suffolk as owner and beneficiary of a life
insurance policy, you can take an immediate tax deduction for
any accumulated cash value and a future deduction for any
subsequent premiums.

Real Estate
Any real property can become a gift. You can take a tax
deduction for the full market value of the donation and avoid
capital gains tax on its appreciation.

Bequests
Your will is a meaningful way to make a charitable gift to The
Retreat. Through a bequest, you can designate a specific
amount of money or a percentage of your estate.
