The Saul and Elaine Seiff Educare Center
Education. Therapy. Rehabilitation. It's amazing what a child can achieve with the right teachers in the ideal environment.
It takes more than an Individualized Educational Plan to help intellectually and physically diabled children reach their potential. That's why AHRC Suffolk designed the Saul and Elaine Seiff Educare Center from the ground up as the perfect place for special needs children to get the combination of health services and education they need to thrive.
Half and full-day classes are organized by the child's age and functional level. Each of our bright and airy classrooms has a large private bathroom, storage closet and plenty of space for our students'a adaptive equipment. They also feature a computer center as well as a variety of augmentative communication devices, ranging from simple pictures or switches to high tech voice output devices that can speak in full sentences on behalf of the individual.

Snoezelen Multi-Sensory Experience Room
Providing a safe, non-threatening and personalized multi-sensory experience, our Snoezelen room offers students gentle stimulation of the senses and the opportunity to discover and control their environment. Because it does not rely on verbal communication, Snoezelen therapy offers special benefits to children with profound disabilities who might otherwise be impossible to reach.
Augmentative Communication Lab
In this state-of-the-art facility, our assistive technology specialist matches students and adults to a wide variety of adaptive equipment, assessing and training individual students to use specialized devices in real life situations.
Speech/Language Pathology Treatment Rooms
Many of our students need a quiet space without distractions, where they can focus on increasing their ability to understand and use language, or improving their clarity of speech. In some instances, we may use sign language or electronic devices to facilitate communications.

Stop and Shop A+ School Rewards Program- Our School is participating in the Stop & Shop A+ School Rewards Program. Through March 29, 2012, AHRC and our Seiff Educare Center can earn CASH through this exciting program.
You can Help! Log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus and choose "Register your Card" from the A+ menu found under "Our Stores" to register your card online. Then, each time you shop at Stop & Shop using your STOP & SHOP CARD, you will earn CASH for our school! You can track the amount of points you earn for our school by checking your grocery receipt and online when you create an account at www.stopanshop.com. Each month, the amount of CASH awarded will be updated on the Stop & Shop website. Our school will receive a check at the end of the program. The money can be used for any of our school's educational needs!
