For one of the finest examples of a successful partnership, look no further that the relationship forged between AHRC Suffolk and the regional business community. Our Work Centers represent a true “win-win” scenario, providing products and services companies need and meaningful work for men and women who take special pride in a job well done.

At AHRC’s Work Centers in Bohemia and Westhampton, and at our own Flowerfield Gardens Nursery in Holtsville, 600 adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities do real work for real businesses. We have ongoing subcontracts with dozens of corporations , many of whom have relied on AHRC for years to provide fair pricing, fast turnaround and first-rate quality work. Our Work Centers provide a variety of job opportunities, handling contracts involving both simple and complex bench assembly, cleaning and housekeeping, shipping and receiving, printing, mailroom services, food services, baskets, ceramics, horticulture and more.

Participants do more than earn a paycheck: they learn the special pride that comes from being a contributing member of the working world.
