DEPARTMENAL POSITIONS

HR Recruiter (Bohemia) – Monday-Friday 8AM – 4PM = 35 hrs.

Under the direct supervision of the Human Resource Director, an employee of this class provides a high quality agency initiation to all prospective candidates and new hires. Develops and maintains innovative recruitment strategies and practices, Visits all program locations and meets with management to develop program-specific recruiting plans, Builds professional relationships with college and university placement offices and with professional associations as a source to generate qualified applicants; attends job fairs, Manages the applicant tracking section of the HR formation system in order to develop an instant applicant pool; woks with management on job description creation/maintenance for all agency positions, Generates advertisements for open positions internally and externally, conducts pre-employment reference checks, Delivers and captures all necessary new hire paperwork, Completes a quarterly report on employment activity.

Bachelor’ degree in Human Resources or related field and five years recruiting experience is required, general computer skills required.

Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper – Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM = 35 hrs.

Daily Cash Bookkeeper reports and records cash, prepares daily deposits, and reconciles various bank accounts. Individual will be responsible for the Agency’s Grant Accounts Payables, General Ledger Coding, inputting invoices into the payable system, writing checks and posting to customer accounts and assisting with the other Agency accounts as required. Clerk/Bookkeeper will also share the responsibility of generating the stipend payroll for 3 locations with another payroll clerk.

High school diploma with up to two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience is required for this entry level position. Must be PC proficient and have strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word; Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus. 

CHILDREN’S SERVICES

1:1 Teacher Aide - Bohemia, NY, M-F, 8:15 AM - 2:45 PM

Attends to the physical needs of the children; required to carry, transfer and position students as needed for feeding, toileting, diaper changing and positioning in adaptive equipment which entails bending.

Graduate of an accredited high school GED, knowledge of general health, safety and sanitation policies; ability to work effectively and cooperatively

ADULT DAY SERVICES

Greenhouse Worker (Holtsville) Flexible Schedule/Weekends

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor-Greenhouse Manager, an employee in this class is responsible for performing a variety of horticultural tasks and for assisting in the sales area. Seeking sales/ cashier staff; Candidate must be comfortable working outdoors and able to lift supplies; plant knowledge is a plus. 

High school diploma or GED; general computer skills required

Driver – Work Activities (Bohemia), Per Diem

Under direct supervision of the Workshop Supervisor/Production Supervisor, an employee in this class primarily operates a truck for the purpose of pick-up or delivery of various production or program materials. Use of a van or car could also be required for various assignments.  Assists in warehouse operations and provides supervision and instruction to program individuals we support as needed.

A High School Diploma or GED; Readiness to learn and utilize relevant agency computer applications; Candidate must possess a valid New York State Driver's License at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.  If the employee is to drive an Agency vehicle or his/her own vehicle on Agency business, he/she must adhere to the Agency Fleet Safety Driver's Policy/Procedures.

Community Integration Specialist - (Lakeland, Knick, Bohemia), (Lakeland, Ability to Speak Creole Preferred)M-F, 8am -3:30pm. 

Responsible for developing and supporting participants to attain their chosen outcomes and planned activities. An employee in this position will be called upon to drive the program van on a regular basis as part of community activities. The ideal candidate is energetic, responsible, organized and flexible.
 
Module Instructor - Westhampton Beach REACH | BLENDED, M-F 8am - 3:30pm = 35 hrs.

Training and supervising participants with Developmental Disabilities in classroom and workshop settings while implementing their outcomes and goals.

Instruct developmentally disabled individuals residing in a group home in Activities of Daily Living; Specific skills include personal hygiene and grooming, banking/budgeting, travel, household tasks, cooking, nutrition, laundry, and decision making.  Additional duties may include planning and implementing recreational activities and administering medications.

INTERMEDIATE CARE FACILITIES (ICF)

Community Integration Specialist – Shoreham Day Hab – M-F, 8:00AM - 4:30PM = 40 hrs.

Under the direct supervision of the Day Habilitation Supervisor, an employee of this class is responsible for assisting and training in the areas of communication, life skills, social behaviors, personal skills, health care, and promoting self reliance to the extent possible.

Part Time RN Charge – Shoreham, NY, Saturday- Sunday 7:00AM – 5:30PM = 20 hrs. Bi-weekly

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting RN supervisors with on-site supervision of the weekend ICF staff nurses to assure all medical/nursing needs are addressed, availability to assess medical problems and advise on appropriate action, medication administration, in-service training in the area of nursing and health related issues.

Candidate must possess a current, valid NYS Registered Nursing License and a minimum of 2 years nursing experience. Experience with Developmentally/Intellectually Disabled population preferred.
