DEPARTMENAL POSITIONS

Medicaid Service Coordinator - Monday-Friday = 35 hrs.

This position entails handling a caseload of 30+ people with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include writing, coordinating, and monitoring Individual Service Plans; advocating for and assuring linkages with community support services that are consistent with an individual's needs and wants; Must have knowledge of social service, medical, and educational resources in Suffolk County. Site visits are required.

Bachelors Degree in a Health or Human Service Field and one year experience working with people with a developmental disability or a case management position with another population, or MSW, or Masters Degree in Psychology or Human Service Field.

HR Recruiter (Bohemia) – Monday-Friday 8AM – 4PM = 35 hrs.

Under the direct supervision of the Human Resource Director, an employee of this class provides a high quality agency initiation to all prospective candidates and new hires. Develops and maintains innovative recruitment strategies and practices, Visits all program locations and meets with management to develop program-specific recruiting plans, Builds professional relationships with college and university placement offices and with professional associations as a source to generate qualified applicants; attends job fairs, Manages the applicant tracking section of the HR formation system in order to develop an instant applicant pool; woks with management on job description creation/maintenance for all agency positions, Generates advertisements for open positions internally and externally, conducts pre-employment reference checks, Delivers and captures all necessary new hire paperwork, Completes a quarterly report on employment activity

Bachelor’ degree in Human Resources or related field and five years recruiting experience is required, general computer skills required.

Maintenance Worker - Bohemia, NY M-F 7am-3pm = 35 hrs.

Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and landscaping, painting, dry-wall repair, and snow removal; Effective customer service, ability to complete tasks effectively in a timely manner, Attention to detail, written and verbal communications skills, Must be available to handle on-call emergency services on as as-needed basis for after hours.

Ability to efficiently use various power and hand tools; Minimum 1-3 years of experience, Candidate must be comfortable with outside travel as needed, Must possess a valid NYS Diver's License, Documentation of a current Mantoux tuberculosis test that is within 12 months of beginning employment and a second step PPD within three (3) weeks of beginning employment must be provided.

1:1 Teacher Aide - Bohemia, NY, M-F, 8:15 AM - 2:45 PM

Attends to the physical needs of the children; required to carry, transfer and position students as needed for feeding, toileting, diaper changing and positioning in adaptive equipment which entails bending.

Graduate of an accredited high school GED, knowledge of general health, safety and sanitation policies; ability to work effectively and cooperatively

ADULT DAY SERVICES

Greenhouse Worker (Holtsville) Per Diem

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor-Greenhouse Manager, an employee in this class is responsible for performing a variety of horticultural tasks and for assisting in the sales area. Seeking sales/ cashier staff; Candidate must be comfortable working outdoors and able to lift supplies; plant knowledge is a plus. 

High school diploma or GED; general computer skills required

Community Integration Specialist - (Lakeland, Knick, Bohemia), (Lakeland, Ability to Speak Creole Preferred)M-F, 8am -3:30pm. 

Responsible for developing and supporting participants to attain their chosen outcomes and planned activities. An employee in this position will be called upon to drive the program van on a regular basis as part of community activities. The ideal candidate is energetic, responsible, organized and flexible.
 
Module Instructor - Westhampton Beach REACH | BLENDED, M-F 8am - 3:30pm = 35 hrs.

Training and supervising participants with Developmental Disabilities in classroom and workshop settings while implementing their outcomes and goals.
